4 Stone Buildings is ‘an excellent set of chambers’ for commercial Chancery work and comprises ‘technically gifted barristers’ who are ‘routinely approachable, flexible and excellent with clients’. The set has ‘a good balance of silks, senior juniors and junior juniors’, who are ‘experts in their fields’ and ‘a joy to work with’. The ‘incredibly helpful and diligent’ clerks’ room is also ‘a notch above the rest’. Senior clerk David Goddard ‘could not be better; he is commercially balanced, astute at picking the right barrister for a particular piece of work and reasonable when it comes to fixing fees’. First junior Jason Doyle is ‘more knowledgeable than most solicitors on the Civil Procedure Rules and appears to have every court clerk’s phone number and birthday memorised’.
