4 Stone Buildings appear in the Supreme Court in Cardiff

July 25, 2019

For the first time in its history, the Supreme Court sat in Cardiff from 22 to 25 July 2019.

On 23 and 24 July the Supreme Court heard the appeal in Singularis Holdings Ltd v Daiwa Capital Markets Europe Ltd in the Ty Hywel building of Cardiff’s National Assembly.

Jonathan Crow QC and Andrew de Mestre QC appeared on behalf of the Respondent. The case raises important questions concerning the doctrine of attribution in company law, as well as the proper application of the Supreme Court’s previous decision in Patel v Mirza [2016] 1 WLR 399.
