The Privy Council has given judgment in an appeal from the Cayman Islands in relation to appraisal proceedings brought by minority shareholders following a ‘short-form’ merger. The question was whether the legislation conferred any right to bring appraisal proceedings in such circumstances. Jonathan Crow CVO KC appeared for the appellants.
