The trial of ACL Netherlands BC (As Successor to Autonomy Corp Ltd) v Lynch

The trial of ACL Netherlands BC (As Successor to Autonomy Corp Ltd) v Lynch began on the 25th March.  The case is listed to run for some 29 weeks in the Chancery Division, and concerns the acquisition of software company Autonomy by HP in 2011 for some $11.1bn.  The damages claimed are approximately $5bn, making this one of the largest civil claims ever brought against individual defendants in the English courts.

The First Defendant, Dr Mike Lynch, is represented by a 4 Stone Buildings counsel team comprising: Robert Miles QC, Richard Hill QC, Sharif Shivji, Tom Gentleman, Lara Hassell-Hart, Zara McGlone and Karl Anderson.
